Sephora Melbourne finally opened at Melbourne Central on Saturday. It was a fun 3 hour wait in the line before actually making it into the store. And by fun I mean long and exhausting. Luckily the weather was nice since we were made to line up outside. We were all given a gift bag, which was filled with some samples along with some pretty disgusting food. It was also disappointing that the entertainment designed to keep us preoccupied in the line was only experienced by the first 100 girls who got to line up inside the shopping complex.

Once actually getting inside Sephora it was just a sea of female beauty fanatics - and some unfortunate boyfriends who were seemingly forced to tag along. The 500 square metre store that is home to brands like Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Marc Jacobs and Zoeva felt incredibly small and claustrophobic. As exciting as it was to be part of the launch of Sephora in Melbourne, the amount of people in the store at that one time meant you couldn't take a proper look at products let alone swatch them. And the line to the checkout spanned the length of the store, so that was enough to put me off from even purchasing anything.

If you didn't or couldn't make it to the opening for whatever reason, you didn't miss out on much. Go when the crowds subside because it'll be a much more enjoyable experience for you. In the meantime, enjoy my happy snaps below.
